Six weeks project

This is our plan for TOP theme. It's a bleacher picture that we will have to complete for 10:00 because that's when the lights turn off. We discovered this last year trying to take this picture. Our camera will be straight on. The flash to the side and the creeper back lit. (I love back lights!) Hopefully this will turn out great. The only problem is we have 3 people who are putting equal amounts of effort into this picture but only one person who presses the shutter and is able to put it into ATPI. So, we are gonna try and do more than one picture because I DESPERATELY NEED ATPI PICTURES. I have nothing from this year except dumb headshots that are so boring. ugh. just been a frustrating day, and i know i'm babbling (i'm sorry) I just need fun, creative stuff. yes, this is a NEED. anyways, hopefully things will start to get better soon.

See Ya At The Pole

ISO: 200  f/4.0  shutter speed: 1/1000

ISO: 200  f/4.0  shutter speed: 1250

ISO: 200  f/4.0  shutter speed: 1/400

I took these pictures yesterday at See Ya At The Pole. It was kind of difficult because they were standing so close together it was hard to shoot through them. It was a difficult morning cause when I got there I realized I didn't have a battery. So I called like everyone and Sabrina told me she had an extra, but when she got to school she remembered that she got rid of it. Then Dragon Lady started yelling at me for being in the parking lot. Luckily, my youth pastor went to the event and had his camera (which is a 7D) so I told him I desperately needed his battery so I wouldn't get my butt chewed and thankfully he let me use it. Lifesaver. So, it was just a difficult morning with all that and then everyone standing so close that it was very difficult to get pictures. These are some of the ones I got though.

Arkansas Pep Rally

ISO: 1600  f/5.0  shutter speed: 1/160

ISO: 1600  f/5.0  shutter speed: 1/160

ISO: 1600  f/5.0  shutter speed: 1/160

UGH! so somehow my aperture got changed to 5.0 without me being aware of this. :( all my pictures since that happened were very dark. talk about failure. I was extremely mad at myself and deleted most every picture. I kept a couple that were somewhat fixable like these 3. I like the subject and composition of these photos but I'm still very upset with my settings. I could've almost guaranteed that I had my aperture on 4.0. blah blah blah. ugh. ugh. ugh. I hate failing but it still happens. It's just an unfortunate part of life.

FOOTBALL! yay!

ISO: 2000  f/4.0  shutter speed: 1/400

ISO: 2000  f/4.0  shutter speed: 1/400

ISO: 2000  f/4.0  shutter speed: 1/320

ISO: 2000  f/2.8  shutter speed: 1/320

FINALLY! I was able to follow the ball through the viewfinder. YES! Hallelujah, Praise Jesus! oh my goodness I love football! (and this means a lot coming from me cause I used to absolutely hate it) I was happy with these images since I had the ball in them and some sort of action going on. I desperately want to improve my football skills since I'm not a good football photographer yet. Key word-yet. haha, hopefully I will be one day. I just want to be a good all around photographer and just a better photographer than I am now but anyways back to the game. We played Evangel and got crushed yet it was a good game for me since I was able to follow the ball and kind of sort of clue in at times to what was going on. I shot with the 70-200mm lens for most of the game and then Bigma for the last quarter. I personally like the 70-200 cause its easy to move around quickly with.

Texas Arkansas Game

ISO: 400  f/4.0  shutter speed: 1/400

ISO: 400  f/4.0  shutter speed: 1/400

ISO: 400  f/4.0  shutter speed: 1/400

These pictures were taken at the Texas/Arkansas game this past Friday. As far as editing, I did barely anything to these at all. Maybe just a touch of fill light. I really like how the colors pop and are very vibrant. This was before the game started as the players were stretching. We were recording audio and taking pictures which was really awesome. It gave me so much adrenaline the whole night which was good since a lot of other things didn't go so well. In the first picture I find it funny that there is a random leg coming up, and I really like the face expression on the guy in the 2nd picture. The third is probably my favorite, however,  just because of the angle and what not.
