Orbs!

ISO: 1000  f/16.0  shutter speed: 75seconds

ISO: 800  f/16.0  shutter speed: 150 seconds

ISO: 800  f/16.0  shutter speed: 151 seconds

I took the first picture several weeks ago with Haley and Hailey. We went out and worked on orbs, but because of curfew didn't have time to finish. I wish the bottom right of the picture wasn't so dark, and the same with my other pictures. I'm going to try and do them again this weekend. For the last 2 pictures I had my little brother holding the shutter for me. One was on my driveway and the other I was on top of our mailbox. I like how you can see our gate on the driveway in the picture but I wish it was brighter, it's way too dark! I've gone out and tried to do orbs several times, but I've always run into some sort of problem. I was really glad my brother was willing to hold the shutter button for me so I could get these done.

CREEPER- ATPI school portfolio

ISO: 200  f/6.3  shutter speed: 1/200

These were our pictures from our school portfolio for ATPI. I took the first picture. We had two light stands. One was behind Hannah (the creeper with the monopod) and the other one was to the left of the camera with a snoot pointing at me. I put the camera on self-timer for this picture. To set up, we asked the people at the front desk if we could use it so they left and then we had to find them and ask if we could turn the lights off, which thankfully they did. We felt bad cause we took a lot longer than we thought we were going to, but it was so worth it. We ended up getting best of show for these pictures! I was so excited when they announced that. Whoop whoop!

Signing Day

ISO: 800  f/5.6  shutter speed:1/60

I got to miss first period a week or so ago to shoot signing day :) When I got there, there was free food and drinks, so that made me happy. I was told this is not an artistic assignment and to just get the people smiling looking at the camera. This picture was taken afterwards with all the guys that signed. I was using a 28-135mm lens cause that's all we had so that's why I put my f-stop at 5.6 so I wouldn't have to worry about zooming in and it changing on me.

Sadie Hawkins Dance

ISO: 1250  f/4.0  shutter speed: 1/125

ISO: 1250  f/4.0  shutter speed: 1/125

ISO: 1250  f/4.0  shutter speed: 1/125

ISO: 1250  f/4.0  shutter speed: 1/125

I was shooting Sadie for 30 minutes. In the first picture they were playing some like hoe down song and everyone was doing that thing where you link arms and go around in a circle. I was really glad that I captured the guy in the second picture. They kept throwing people up like that and the principals were running over and pulling them down, so I ran over and barely got it, but I was pleased with the one I got. I love the picture of Taylor. She was trying to tell me not to take a picture of her, but I did anyways and this is what I got. I was using a 17-50mm lens for all of these images.

Michaela Johnson

ISO: 200  f/4.0  shutter speed: 1/400

ISO: 200  f/4.0  shutter speed: 1/400

I took these pictures last week. It was supposed to be a picture of Michaela emphasizing her boot. I got down there and she was sitting on the bench so I had her get up and pretend to be swinging the bat. Because they wanted emphasis on the boot, I layed on the ground to get the picture. I wish she had been dressed out in her softball clothes, that would've made the picture better. I was using a 17-50mm lens for these pictures.

Track Practice

ISO: 250  f/4.0  shutter speed: 1/1600

ISO: 250  f/4.0  shutter speed: 1/1600

ISO: 250  f/4.0  shutter speed:1/640

I took these pictures the other day of after school track practice. It was a cloudy day and turned out to be really good lighting. The girl's hair in the second picture cracks me up and every picture I got of her, her hair is doing something crazy. For the first and last picture I was laying on the ground to get them. I had taken a couple standing up and did not like that angle at all! I was using a 28-75mm lens for all of these pictures.

Charlie Brown

ISO: 1000  f/2.8  shutter speed: 1/125

ISO: 1000  f/2.8  shutter speed: 1/500

ISO: 1000  f/2.8  shutter speed: 1/160

ISO: 1000  f/2.8  shutter speed: 1/400

I took these pictures at the Charlie Brown dress rehearsal last night. They have super long rehearsals! I was told they started at 6:45, but luckily my friend texted me to tell me that they wouldn't actually start until like 8ish.  I was using the Bigma and monopod for all these pics. In the third picture I really liked the expression on Emily's face.

Canterbury Tales

ISO: 800  f/4.0  shutter speed: 1/125

ISO: 800  f/4.0  shutter speed: 1/100

ISO: 800  f/4.0  shutter speed: 1/125

I shot these during Canterbury Tales. I was so glad I got to shoot this cause it got me out of class :) In the first picture the teacher was explaining what all was going on and I couldn't get out of the crowd to get the picture so I just shot through these two girls. In the second one, Rachel Burgess was signing in with the teacher and they had to do all this explaining of what they were and stuff. I got to use the 5 for these and I was using the 28-104mm lens.
