Butt Bump!

ISO: 1000  f/2.8  shutter speed: 1/400

This was taken at the Sulpher Springs varsity football game this past Friday. This was during a play that started back around the 50yd line and they kept coming right towards me. I was trying to get out of their way and still take pictures at the same time, so this is what I ended up getting. It made me laugh really hard,  and I wish I wouldn't have cut the guy's foot off, cause that would have made it a lot better. I shot the game with a 70-200mm lens and this image is at 70mm. For post-editing, I brought the exposure up a little bit along with the blacks.

These were taken at the senior pep rally Friday. During the video, we were told to get pictures of people crying. I had the 50mm and these were the only people I could get close enough to. Everyone else I saw crying was like in the middle of everyone or on the other side. I had to get super close to these girls for these pictures. For post-editing I changed the white balance, and brought the exposure, fill light, and blacks up a little bit.

Traffic

 ISO: 100  f/ 4.0  shutter speed: 1/640

ISO: 100  f/4.0  shutter speed: 1/640

These were taken yesterday right after school. I had taken pictures of traffic the day before but they were really just bland. I asked how to make them better, and I was told to actually get out in the road, so that's what I did. I was trying to make the guy blurry with a couple cars in focus. The first picture I wish I would have used a smaller aperture to make more cars be in focus. The second one, I liked how more cars are in focus, and I really liked the guy's face. For post-editing, I brought the recovery. This was a fun assignment, and I think the guard enjoyed it too, cause he kept making all these jokes.

ASL highway cleanup

 ISO: 100  f/2.8  shutter speed: 1/6400

 ISO: 100  f/2.8  shutter speed: 1/2000

ISO: 100  f/ 2.8  shutter speed 1/2500

ISO: 100  f/2.8  shutter speed: 1/8000

These were taken Saturday way out along Summerhill Road. I was told to get at different angles and lay down, so I was on the ground more than I was standing up. (I accidentally laid in an ant pile at one point, and got covered in ants, so now I have bites all over me.) This assignment was harder than I expected because the club split up into two groups and started two miles apart and were walking to meet in the middle. The first picture I liked how I got the road and grass, but I wish I would have gotten more above their heads also. The second, fourth, and fifth pictures I was trying to focus either on the grass or a piece of trash, and have the people blurry in the background. For the third picture, I was trying to get the girl's hand picking up the trash, which was more difficult than I expected cause I could never get in front of them and get my settings right in time. This was one that I liked and turned out ok. For the last picture, I was really upset that Jasmine was looking at the camera, cause if it weren't for that I would have really liked it. I used a 17-50mm lens for all these pictures. On most of these I had to straighten the images, and bring the exposure and/or fill light up.

Volleyball

 ISO: 1250  f/4.0  shutter speed: 1/200

 ISO: 1250  f/4.0  shutter speed: 1/200

ISO: 1250  f/ 4.0  shutter speed: 1/200

These were taken at the varsity volleyball game Friday. These were all taken with a 28-75mm lens. I feel like my volleyball pictures were a lot better than my first time shooting volleyball. I was having a lot more fun, and I surprisingly did better with the 28-75mm lens than the 70-200mm lens. I really liked the expression on the girl's face in the first image, and I was glad I got the ball in all three of these pictures. Post-editing I did was cropping and bringing the exposure up.

Tennis-Lesson Learned

 ISO: 100  f/4.0  shutter speed: 1/500

ISO:100  f/4.0  shutter speed: 1/400

 ISO: 100  f/4.0  shutter speed: 1/400

ISO: 100  f/4.0  shutter speed: 1/400

These pictures were taken a couple days ago at the varsity tennis tournament. I was the only one shooting it, so I got to use the bigma! I really liked shooting tennis, but I did not get the ball in a lot of my pictures like the first two. :( They could have been really cool pictures if the ball was in them. I got the ball in the last two images, however, I wish I would have gotten them in the first two cause I like those a lot better. I cropped these images just a little bit, and changed the white balance. Now, I really want to go shoot tennis again so I can try and get the ball in them to make them a lot better.

horse silhouettes!

ISO: 200  f/5.6  shutter speed: 1/8000

ISO: 200  f/8.0  shutter speed: 1/8000

ISO: 200  f/8.0  shutter speed: 1/8000

These were taken a couple weekends ago, after I was learning how to make silhouettes. I love silhouettes  and I was having fun taking them, but horses are difficult. They were always putting their shadows in their poop, or as soon as I would get my settings right and be in their shadow they would move. I was using a 28-75mm lens for all of these images. The first image I really liked how the fence was in the picture, but I wish the horse would have been turned around so you could see more of the front of him. I really liked these pictures, probably since they were so hard to get, but on the last one I liked how you could see the horses whiskers or whatever they're called. I did not do any post-editing on any of these pictures.

Cheerleaders at the Pep Rally

 ISO: 800  f/4.0  shutter speed: 1/250
NOOO!!! AHHH, so close! I wish I would have been more in front of the girls, so her face would have been in the picture, and I wouldn't have cut her toe off! This was at the Denison pep rally on Friday, and I realized I really like taking pictures of the cheerleaders. For post-editing I cropped it (just took part of the floor out) and looking at it now, it needs the exposure to be brought up and the color balance thing, but I don't have time to go back and do that.

 ISO: 800  f/4.0  shutter speed: 1/250
For this picture, I was really excited about getting her in that position in the image. However, I wish I was at a different angle, I don't know where I should have been, but I don't particularly like where I am for this picture. On this image, I brought the exposure up, color balanced it, and cropped it just a little.

ISO: 800  f/4.0  shutter speed: 1/250
I really liked this picture and where the girl was in it, especially her hair. On this image, I brought the exposure up.

On all these pictures, I used a 70-200mm lens. All of my pictures from the pep rally were underexposed, which made me really mad, and I don't know why I wasn't changing my settings (very stupid). Next time, I will definitely work harder on getting my settings a lot better.
